DJI goes above and beyond with the new DJI Mini 3 Pro. It's the best of the Mini series so far, combining a small frame with a much more powerful camera and a gimbal that rotates 90 degrees for vertical capture.
The new addition to the ultralight Mini series definitely deserves the "Pro" title with all its smart features and high-quality camera that we've seen only on bigger models before.

Design and hardware
The new model of the Mini series is very similar to the previous models, but it is more streamlined and has several innovations - larger propellers and improved aerodynamics. The drone has got the characteristic colour scheme - off-white body and dark grey propellers.
You can unfold the propellers in the order you wish, whereas on previous models this had to be sequential. Because there are no spring mounts for the propellers, if you want to change them you need to use a screwdriver (one is provided in the box).
DJI Mini 3 Pro - Size
The DJI Mini 3 Pro is designed to weigh just under 249g. However, always check what the requirements are for drone flying in the country you are planning to visit. The model is very practical - roughly the size of a larger smartphone, which means you can easily take it with you anywhere.
DJI Mini 3 Pro – Remote controller
The controller is larger than the drone itself and features a large screen. Comfortable to hold, it has two metal thumbsticks that are easy to grip.
Flight characteristics and stability
DJI Mini 3 Pro flies better and like all devices of the series it is very easy to control and extremely safe.
The advanced gimbal compensates for any vibrations, and the more powerful motors make the drone more stable when flying into headwinds, compared to previous Mini drones.
The Mini 3 Pro features obstacle detection sensors on the front, bottom and rear. These sensors have good peripheral vision.
Flight time
Flight time has also been improved to 34 minutes, which is 3 minutes longer than the Mini 2. This means you have about 15%-20% extra time for actual shooting. The intelligent battery is very lightweight and offers a sufficient charge for a ton of adventures.
Camera and gimbal
Up until now it was generally accepted that the bigger the drone, the better the camera, but with Mini 3 Pro this has changed.
DJI Mini 3 Pro is equipped with a 1/1.3-inch sensor, which is a huge step up from the 1/2.3-inch sensor on the Mini 2.
Other features of the camera have also been improved. The Mini 3 Pro can record 4K 60fps and 1080p 120fps, which is an upgrade over Mini 2's 30fps and 60fps. The maximum video bitrate is up to 150 Mbps, which means no noticeable compression effects, and support for native H.265 encoding is added in case you want to reduce file size.
With the Mini 3 Pro you can now also take 48MP still images compared to the 12MP offered by the Mini 2.
Should you buy it?
There are many good reasons to choose the Mini 3 Pro. Practical, small and lightweight, it will be with you everywhere. It has excellent image quality even before processing and 10-bit D-Cinelike support if you want to grade your footage manually.
